Wednesday,
ok, so not everything is good down here, or easy. Buzz has gotten
really sick, He is my roommate. he has a fever and sore throat, stuff
up head. this started last night while I was waiting to write emails.

Yesterday was a bit tough to take, with all the little kids and the
living conditions. in some cases they have nothing, but they have TV.
when we walked up they were watching lost, I wondered what they
think of it. but as I type I see why some of them are having TV, it
is so that they can learn English. it is a sign of a higher education
if you can speak English. all of the native people that speak English
have an English accent similar to Jamaica.

In many ways they are so much like the children around home. I can
get over it. there are the really Rich and the really poor.

Today was back to sheet rocking, I leaned how to make angle and some
weird cuts. I did not get to the school houses with the roof Damage,
I spoke with the sickly Buzz at lunch time and he said him and I
could do it in about 4 hours. so I figure it will take 6-8
hours.

the People that went out today had 12 kids to buy shoes for, at 355
LP per shoe that really adds up. they met with a baby that is just 6
month old and has a hole in his heart, surgery was just last month
and so he was really weak.

we went to church again tonight and it was quite different. first it
is open mic night, so if you want to sing a song, you just get up in
front and sing away. there were some Christian Regge songs,
some Christian Rap songs and some guy from America that was rather
shy and sang a few songs with his guitar. and stumbled a bit and
apologized a lot.

then it was open Pray requests, and the people request all sorts of
things, heath, that all people that do not know God will hear of him,
People to have more love in there hearts. (we added Buzz and Tom to
the health list, cause now Tom is just as sick as Buzz).
(you please add them to the prayer list too).

then the sermon was given sentence by sentence first in English, then Spanish.

I was really moved this morning, as we had a popcorn prayer and all
the littlest children of the orphanage where there and jumped right
in with all kinds of amazing prayers and requests, simple as help my
sister, and Mario the oldest that just had surgery, and Brad the
missionary that is in MN. I was so moved I was brought to tears as
each one of these kids ages 5-12 just fired these off!!

Keep us in your prayers and especially Buzz and Tom.

God be with you,
