Twins and Tigers were not able to take the title in 162 games so they had to play one more game. And what a game it was, nine innings still did not determine who would face the Yankees. Scott Baker took the mound for the Twins, and did a good job. He made one really bad pitch to Cabrera for a two-run homerun in the third inning. Tiger lead 3-0, the crowd was a bit quiet. The Twins got a run back, but the rally ended. Baker then set them down one after another. In the sixth inning Jason Kubel knocked a solo homerun. Tigers lead 3-2. Go to the bottom of the seventh inning and the Twins score two more runs, the crowd is so loud now, that my six year old son had to plug his ears. Twins lead now 4-3 just get six more outs and we are champs!!! Top of the eight, uuugg are you kidding me? Tiger still have fight in them, Ordonez solo homerun. Tie game!! With how tight this game was, it was hard to believe this was just the first time, since the scoring started, that the game was tied 4-4. I act...

Joe Mauer hit his First ever Grand SLAM today!! it was awesome. He is the Minnesota Twin that my 3 year old son loves the most. Truthfully I think my thirteen year old son put him up to it. But that is just ok with me. I really do like this kid as a player. He gets knocked in the papers and the radio due to his injuries. They say he is injury prone, I don't really see how anyone is injury prone. They always said that about Robert Smith of the Minnesota Vikings, but then he ended his career on a full 16 game season, in the NFL as a running back that is a good thing.

Twins Home Opener The game started off great! The first Pitch from Johan Santana was a Strike to Roberts and he eventually struck him out! The bottom of the inning was the AL Batting Champ got the first hit for the game and the Twins season. The bottom of the 2nd inning started off with Morneau hitting an opposite field home run! And Hunter hit a blast over the fence. And late in the game Twins scoring one the way I have come to love. Cirillo walked and Tyner stole a base, Castillo laid down a bunt & reaches. Punto delivers on an error!!? Scoring Tyner. Nathan coming in for a cheap save I guess. Herb Carneal will be missed. I should have listened to the game on the radio. I however do not receive the 830 out here in the sticks of Wisconsin. Good Start to defending the Central Division Title.
