Fantasy Football Drafts
I have my Fantasy football league drafts tonight. I will update the site with Details on who each team selects as the night goes on.
In League A I have the 12th pick of 14. (with 2 player restricted holdover)
The two Player restriction is that you can hold over any two players from last year and one additional year, so you can have someone for a total of three years MAX. or you can holdover anyone knew each year.
I was fortunate enough to play poor enough to earn a spot in the six team Toilet bowl (I was one win short of making the playoffs) and then I won the toilet bowl which in turned earned me the right to the first pick of the draft, I chose LaDanian Tomlinson. That was two years ago, so this is the last time I get to hold him over.
My second holdover is Ronnie Brown, it was a tough choice, and when the deadline was near, there was no talk of him sharing carries with Chatman.
So with my twelfth pick, I think that Reggie Wayne will be available and I will take him, unless something slips my way.
In League B: I pick 7th of 10 teams with a one player restriction holdover.
The restricted holdover is that you can hold one player from year to year, upto three years total. and some strange rule that if that player is traded to you, you cannot hold them over. Expansion team get a pre first round pick and those players also can not be held over. And the last strange rules include the fact that this league is actually two 10 team leagues and the top teams move to the same division (or league) each year, and if you moved leagues, you may not be able to hold over your players as they may have been held over by someone else. (which is what happend to me).
On that last note then, the other team that had Larry Johnson called me up and thought I might be interested in a trade. (I always am). he wanted my first pick and would give me larry Johnson, prior to the hold over freeze deadline. So in other words I could give up my first round pick to hold over my own player and get a 4th round pick also. sounded really stupid and not a very good deal for me. So I did it.
