Patriots Run up the score again

OK, so this is prior to the game tonight, But this subject has come in to question in the last few games that the Patriots have played, and probably will tonight. At first I was thinking the Patriots in the Redskin game were ruthless and wrong. Then after watching the Bills game in which they Mentioned that the coaches were on good terms. I saw them twice, when in good Field goal range, they went for it on fourth down both times and eventually scored Touch Downs.
John Madden was eve defending his choice by saying that if you don't want them to run up the score, then you had better figure out how to stop them. I definitely don't agree with that comment. This team has been stopped with a three and out only 13% of the time. How are the lowly Bills suppose to be the first team to figure that out when there game plan was blown out of the water? I am sure John Madden has it figured out.

Then I watched the Viking game Sunday, they blew out the Lions. At one point they were up quite a bit and sent out the kicking team to kick a field goal, and I was thinking see Bill, this is how you don't run up the score, three points at a time, not seven.
The ball was snapped and the punt caught it and went to set it down, he then flipped it forward to the Tight end who ran for a first down. Now the score was 42-10 and there was about four minutes left in the game. why, what could possibly come good of this? it is not like the Lions has put any pressure on the Viking Defense since the score was 14-10. The announcer said he thought it was OK idea, perhaps a good Idea with all the Tie breakers that were going to matter for the Vikings if they get down to that for a playoff spot.

Thank got me thinking, when you play a game that is no longer in doubt, when do you let up? Today's kids and most of the players on these teams, grew up with some sort of game station where they played electronic football. When ever I have seen someone play them they are always trying to score, score, score. There is no let up,EVER!

When I grew up we play in the side yard, there was a Pine tree on one end for the goal line and a maple tree on the other for goal line. There was a sidewalk for the back of the end zone on the pine tree side, and a black top alley for the other. We even had a red maple tree for a permanent first down marker. What my point here is that we never ran the score up, probably because the opponents were our friends, and we would mix up the teams as the game went on if it got a bit lopsided. It was fun, there was no money involved.

Bill Belichick gets paid for his running up the score, it is the mentality of the youth these days. The opponents are not your grade school fiends that you need to keep there mental health into consideration as these guy will still play with (or against) you in the future as they are being paid to play and score or stop the score.

Now it is true that many of these players were on the same teams in Collage and now are playing against one another in the pros. However Like I said earlier, they are getting paid for it and therefore will continue to play against each other.

Brian Billick beware, there is no reason that the Patriots will let up on you injured team tonight. Ray Lewis needs to fire up the entire defense and put pressure on Brady very early or there will be just another blow out.
