Trade Down

I did not see that coming, they must like more than one guy and got a good enough offer from Atlanta, other then the 44th pick, I wonder what they got.

Round Two

What are the odds that David Harris will still be there when the Vikings pick at 9? I think that they realy need a LB, I don't know if Chad is going to be back and ready this year or not? Of Course I did read that they really liked Blaylock OG from TX

Brady Quinn

Brady was finally picked by Cleveland, that had to be very difficult to sit there and watch all of that knowing that you should have been picked, Cameras on you pressure from everyone you know. The kid was on the cover of the draft program. 21 picks later and you have nothing to show, nothing to tell your friends. I heard him on an interview and he came across real good, and spoke about how he worked to be the #1 pick overall. (at least that is what I remember, perhaps he just said something about being a 1st round pick). In the end he must feel really good to be going to Cleveland.

Vikings take Adrian Peterson

I like this guy. Reports are that he will be special. But how do you sign Chester Taylor to a big money contract just last year and not take Brady Quinn? Peterson should be a great player, but can they win with TJack at QBack?

Fouth Times a Charm?

Detroit takes another wide out with their first pick of the draft. (sixth time since 1991) I never liked Wide outs in the first round. too risky! Calvin Johnson, shouldn't be that big of a risk, but remember Charles Rogers was a #2 overall pick Troy Williamson so far a bust Braylon Edwards, injury prone so far Mike Williams not very good Larry Fitzgerald, ok so we got one out of the last 3 years Roy Williams, up and down Reggie Williams, too soon to say ok Cleveland Joe Thomas Tampa Gaines Adams Arizona Amobi Okoye

Round 1 pick 1

Raiders 1st selection is JaMarcus Russell, my predictions for the next 3 picks are Detroit Trade this pick To TB and Take Brady Quinn with #4 Cleveland Joe Thomas, some late news TB Calvin Johnson with #2

2007 NFL Draft Next Five Mock

These are my predictions and reasons 1. Oakland Everyone knows that they need a QB, and JaMarcus Russell QB is who they should take, I highly doubt that they will get a trade done prior to the draft. If they do, Calvin Johnson. I WR. I like Brady Quinn better as a QB, but I think that Al Davis likes power over finesse and therefore he will pick Russell 2. Detro it The last thing the Lions need is another first round WR, but if Da Raider pass on Calvin Johnson it would shock me that Detroit would pass on him also. But this could be the first WR that they pass on that turns out legit! Detroit should trade down! 3. Cleveland Brownies needs are great and many, Brady Quinn fills most of them with one pick. I think this kid is really good (Duh) but what I think he will bring is a winning attitude and a follow me or get out of the way to this team. 4. Tampa Bay Tampa should trade up, but only if the cost is legit and they have a certain shot at the guy they want, Calvin Johnson. The Raider h...

Cisco Configure replace

Have you ever made some changes to a Cisco router and needed to revert back to the start-up config? Well, it is alot easier now, as you know the "copy start Run" wont do it, that merges the two to make some monster of a config. The command is "configure replace" and will replace the running config just as if you had re-booted a router. I have not tried this myself I am assuming that this will have some impact in a production environment? Any how the article says that this is part of a feature known as Configuration Rollback. Here is the link, check it out. www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps5207/products_feature_guide09186a0080356ea5.html

I hate Ducks

The Wild hockey team played poorly this series, they could not get anything going. I was not able to watch all of the games but I did watch all of last nights game. I think the Wild played alright, but to have a four minute power play and not score at all? They reminded me of Brett Hull in the Olympics a few years back, just wind up and hit the puck as hard as you can. I don't think I recall to many shots that looked as though they were aiming for the corners of the net during that power play. It is really too bad, I really liked this team and thought that they were better then a one win post-season. Kind of seems to be the Minnesota theme lately. Wild out in 5, Gophers lose in the 2 round of the NCAA, the Twins Swept last year by Oakland. What have I learned, is what I already knew, don't stay up and watch those late games when you have to work the next morning.

Wild one

Game four between the Ducks and the Wild turned a bit nasty the other day. Good thing my thoughts were elsewhere. My son was getting quite upset at how cheap the game got. And he was very upset with Brad May who clocked Kim Johnsson with a sucker punch that has left Kim out for Game Five. I am glad to see that the NHL gave an appropriate suspension to Brad May as hockey does not need to be as dirty as it was when i was a kid. I enjoy the game with the fast players blowing by the slow thugs of the game. well its time to get ready for Game Five, Go Wild, dump those loser Ducks again!!

Virginia update

My wife received a phone call today, not the one that we were hoping to get. Back in January Virginia was asked what the first thing she was going to do when she got her cast off? Her reply was that she was going to see Jesus. I am glad she knew! My deepest sympathies go out to the whole gang at CSI, the Kids especially. (Shanis, Glenn, Nolan, Brandon, Sarah, and Big Sara, Curby and Ricky) for they would seem to be too young to understand, however Virginia seemed to know, so i would bet that Brad and Debbie have done a fine job with the rest of them. I will miss you Virginia, and I will see the rest of you just as soon as I can. Other website information

The Judges Score

I have come to have no faith in any kind of competition that uses judges for a final score. Such as Olympic Ice Skating, Gymnastics, Dancing with the Stars, Destination Imagination (DI). My Daughter was just in a DI competition and they did quite well, however the scores were half what they were for the first round of competition. You don't really change too much from one round to the other, other then get new Judges!!! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and no two judges can see it the same way. I predict Apollo will win Dancing with the Stars

Prayer Request for my young friend

Image
I received this email from our Mission team leader who received it from Brad at CSI. Good morning, I wish I could begin this email on a lighter note; however we have a very urgent need for specific prayer. Thursday afternoon, our little Virginia was scheduled to have surgery on her arm. This surgery was to break and reset a bone that was previously broken. Apparently it didn’t heal properly and needs to be reset with metal pins allowing for complete mobility in the future. Debbie and I took her to the private hospital here on the island at 1pm on Thursday for pre-op procedures. At approximately 4:30pm, while waiting for the surgery to be completed, a parent’s deepest fear had become a reality. Before they even began the operation, something went wrong in the anesthetic department. Virginia’s vitals, heart and breathing had stopped for over 5 minutes. We don’t know exactly how long as we have gotten 3 different lengths of time from 3 different doctors/nurses that we...

Twins win a Wild one

The Minnesota Twins won a wild game tonight. Leading 2 -0 on a Michael Cuddyer Home run . Tampa was not getting anything done at the plate at all, Until the 8th inning Juan Rincon had a rough outing, giving up 2 runs 4 base runners in only 5 batters, and the one that got out, was just a horrible bunting exhibition. Pat Neshek came on to strike out the next two batters and get out of the inning with a 2-2 game. The Twins went down 1,2,3 in the 8th. Tampa bay did not. With Joe Nathan pitching, TB got a single, then Crawford hitting took a pitch and put it past Michael Cuddyer and it was off to the races. I figured for sure that the lead runner would score but they held him up on third. I am guessing that Crawford thought he would score for sure too as he ran right to third and the twins had a run down. Joe Mauer tagged out the runner just before he went back to third, and for some really strange reason, Crawford ran back to second base (WHAT!!) and Joe through him out just before he ...

Spybot vs Ad-aware

Chuck wrote a good little spot here and I agree fully with the article. http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/ad-aware-vs-spybot-sd-you-decide.html And if you have talked to me you will know that last statement he make I have said before! Of course, if you use a layered defense , you may never see any adware or spyware. Just as the dentist finding no cavities in your teeth shouldn't lead you to stop brushing, though, your finding no malware shouldn't lead you to remove redundant protection. all of that from PChuck's blog, what I would like to add is I have used both of these to clean up my Nephews PC's after they have been away at college. I would like to presume that they have been good boys, but the way I keep getting one of there machines back, is just sick. I am a network guy, not the best microsoft guy, I have to rely on people like Chuck and blogs and help sites to figure out what is going on. I think I have done fairly good. I have told my "one" nephew...

Cisco Coil problems

%SYS-5-SYS_LCPERR5:Module 8: Coil Pinnacle Header Checksum Error - Port #13: %SYS-5-SYS_LCPERR5:Module 8: Coil Mdtif Packet CRC Error - Port #16: I have seen these two errors a few times, sometime it is just as easy as replacing the affected Module. Generally it is just that. in this case it was a Cisco copper 6348 with In-line power on a 6509. ports 13-24 are not functioning.

PMTU - PathMTU Discovery

PROBLEM: Slow file transfers and backups with different servers There have been a couple of different issues that I have run into regarding MTU and PMTU. resolve the issue of the server only sending frames off net at only 590 bytes. I have also had this issue relate to disconnects, as the server with the wrong setting get so busy (due to the small packets) that it was not sending acks in a timely fashion. http://www.netheaven.com/pmtu.html Solution: recommended that the servers’ mtusize discovery bit be set to “1”, to prevent 576 bytes and use your full packet size. For Windows XP: From Microsoft: Key: Tcpip\Parameters Value Type: REG_DWORD - Boolean Valid Range: 0,1 (False, True) Default: 1 (True) Description: If you set this parameter to 1 (True), TCP tries to discover the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU or largest packet size) over the path to a remote host. By discovering the Path MTU and limiting TCP segments to this size, TCP can eliminate fragmentation at routers along the path t...

Wild 100

The Minnesota Wild defeated the Edmonton Oilers last night 3-2 to record a franchise best 100 points on the season. They clinched a playoff birth just last week Tuesday with a loss to the Flames and had been on a short skid ever since. I am very excited about this playoff season as they seem to be one of the hottest teams playing right now. The Wild remain just 3 points behind the Canucks. However with only two games remaining for the Wild it would seem unlikely that they would be able to take the title away from Vancouver. The Canucks have three games remaining as well. so all they are they need to do is gain 2 more points in those the games.

Win one for Herb!!

Twins Home Opener The game started off great! The first Pitch from Johan Santana was a Strike to Roberts and he eventually struck him out! The bottom of the inning was the AL Batting Champ got the first hit for the game and the Twins season. The bottom of the 2nd inning started off with Morneau hitting an opposite field home run! And Hunter hit a blast over the fence. And late in the game Twins scoring one the way I have come to love. Cirillo walked and Tyner stole a base, Castillo laid down a bunt & reaches. Punto delivers on an error!!? Scoring Tyner. Nathan coming in for a cheap save I guess. Herb Carneal will be missed. I should have listened to the game on the radio. I however do not receive the 830 out here in the sticks of Wisconsin. Good Start to defending the Central Division Title. Justin Morneau and Torii Hunter did the best jobs at bat, Rondell White in the Field and Johan Santana Six K's.
