Old Friends

I just spend the evening out with an old Friend and his wife. Jim came into my life around my Junior/Senior year in High School. We worked together at a local department store, he in Automotive and me in Electronics. We fast became more then just good friends, I considered him my best friend and I had to make a difficult choice when it came to choosing my best man when I was married. At the time I had know Jim for about 5 years or so, and I had know the man I chose as my best man since I was about 7, Flash. Flash and I had just started to drift apart, so it was early enough that I could sense it but did not really believe that we would continue to drift apart. Anyhow Jim and his wife Kim, me and my lovely wife went out for a night on the town. Jim had recently accepted a job at in the "Tech world" in San Diego, and was back in town for a weekend. We started the evening with dinner, then I invited them back to our place, for they had not seen it. Later we went to the local d...

The Group " You Can Run But You Cannot Hide " performed at an assembly at Pequot Lakes, Near where I fish in the summer. According to the news article they got too graphic and seemed to be pushing their Ideals on everyone at the assembly. The arcticle describes what some of the attendee had issue with as graphic abortion photos, "makeup, virginity, abortion again and how we should be, pretty much, our husband's slaves". Cisco FWSM Console

Cisco's FWSM, a firewall blade that goes into a Cisco 6500 switch. The Console connection is located on the board inside of the slot. Sometimes you need to have this connection to provide Cisco TAC information when troubleshooting. You also can see log messages that you may not see session'ed into the device. It was also helpful when the device was locking or freezing up in such a way that the SSH connections were frozen too. the connection to the console of the FWSM was very handy then. From this console you can also change to any context and the system rather freely, just as you can from traditional SSH session. So remember to connect up the console before you need it, as it is impossible to connect while in production with out shutting the device down to back the Module out of the chassis.
